THE sale of the only public toilets in a major seaside resort has baffled and angered residents and visitors.

The three-WC block, in the centre of Towyn, Conwy, is being offered as a “possible redevelopment opportunity”.

Its permanent closure was confirmed last year as part of swingeing cutbacks by Conwy Council that saw almost half the county’s public loos axed.

By then, Towyn toilet block had already been shut for two years due to “structural concerns”.

Based on Sandbank Road, the single-storey property is available freehold via estate agents St Davids Commercial, with a guide price of over £35,000.
