AE cwmni teledu blaenllaw yng ngogledd Cymru yn anelu at werthu rhaglenni Cymraeg yn rhyngwladol ar ôl penodi un o ffigurau arloesol y diwydiant teledu i swydd allweddol.
-
Mae Olivia Simove, sydd wedi datblygu rhaglenni ar gyfer y cogydd enwog Gordon Ramsay a'r Hairy Bikers, wedi ymuno â Cwmni Da yng Nghaernarfon fel Cyfarwyddwr Cynnwys newydd.
Dywed Olivia a anwyd yng Nghaerdydd, y mae ei gyrfa wedi mynd â hi o Disneyworld yn Fflorida i weithio yn Llundain gyda chwmnïau cynhyrchu amlwg, mai ei huchelgais yw helpu Cwmni Da i “ledu ei adenydd yn rhyngwladol tra'n aros yn driw i'w wreiddiau Cymreig”.
Mae gan yr arbenigwr datblygu, sydd wedi creu fformatau rhaglenni fel How to Lose Weight Well a Mend It For Money i Channel 4, yn ogystal â The Hard to Please OAPs ar gyfer ITV, hanes o greu rhaglenni adloniant ffeithiol poblogaidd sy'n trosi'n dda i wledydd gwahanol.
Mae hi hefyd wedi cynhyrchu cynnwys ar gyfer llwyfannau digidol, gan gynnwys dwy gyfres i Channel 4 am lawdriniaeth cosmetig o'r enw Skin Deep, lle mae'n rhaid i nifer bobl sydd wedi cael llawdriniaeth o'r fath geisio dyfalu pa driniaeth mae'r cleifion eraill wedi'i gael.
"Mae teledu yn ymwneud â deall beth mae pobl yn ei feddwl a beth maen nhw eisiau,” meddai. “Mae fy nghefndir mewn seicoleg wedi fy helpu i greu syniadau sy'n taro tant - gyda chomisiynwyr, cyfranwyr a chynulleidfaoedd.”
Ar ôl dychwelyd i Gymru gyda'i theulu ifanc ar ôl treulio bron i ddau ddegawd yn Llundain, dywedodd Olivia ei bod wedi cael ei hysbrydoli gan ddiwylliant unigryw Cwmni Da.
