MP 'deeply concerned' as 30 jobs lost after firm's sudden collapse

AN MP says she is “deeply concerned” at the loss of around 30 jobs on Anglesey after a company collapsed.
Electrical and mechanical engineering company Gilks has gone into liquidation.
It is owned by Deeside based Ethikos Group - who bought the 60-year-old company in 2020.
The headquarters of Gilks is in Nantwich but they have an Anglesey base on Mona Industrial Estate near Llangefni.
They have contracts with the Ministry of Defence at RAF Valley. They also list Anglesey council and Cyngor Gwynedd among their clients.
FRP were appointed Joint Administrators of the company last week - with 105 staff made redundant.
Yesterday, Ynys Mon MP Llinos Medi said: “I am deeply concerned by the sudden collapse of Gilks (Nantwich) Limited on 11 February 2026, and the immediate termination of around 30 employees on Ynys Mon.
“My thoughts are with every family affected by this abrupt and distressing situation.
