Magpies urged mot to dwell on Wembley glory

JASON TINDALL has warned Carabao Cup winners Newcastle not to allow themselves to be “shot down” as they attempt to make a memorable season a great one.

The Magpies ended their 70-year wait for a major domestic trophy when they beat Liverpool 2-1 in the Carabao Cup final on March 16, amid a run of back-to-back Premier League wins over West Ham, Brentford and Leicester which has propelled them firmly into the race for Champions League qualification.

They welcome Manchester United to St James’ Park tomorrow lying in fifth place in the table - good enough for a seat at Europe's top table next season - with a game in hand on the sides above and immediately below them.
