‘I would break bank for Enrique’

LIVERPOOL should “break the bank” and “do anything” to bring Luis Enrique to Anfield if Arne Slot has a disappointing start to next season.

- BY KIERAN KING

That is the view of ex-Reds midfielder Danny Murphy, who believes Paris Saint-Germain boss Enrique should be the club's No.1 candidate to replace Slot when his tenure is finished.

Slot, who won the Premier League during his first season at Liverpool, endured a woeful second campaign as the Reds finished fifth in the Premier League, were knocked out of the FA Cup and Champions League in the quarter-final, and suffered a drab fourth-round exit in the Carabao Cup.
