Fielding Dom as right-back forced on Slot

ARNE Slot insists his repeated use of Dominik Szoboszlai at right-back has been forced upon him as he explained how Jeremie Frimpong may be rested at Brighton.

Hungary captain Szoboszlai shone in midfield on Wednesday as Liverpool beat Galatasaray 4-0 in the Champions League.

Szoboszlai scored his 12th goal of the campaign with a well-worked corner routine as a central midfielder but the former RB Leipzig star has filled in regularly at right-back in the absence of Frimpong, Conor Bradley and Joe Gomez, who is set to return at Brighton as an emergency substitute.

Slot is adamant an ideal world would see him select the influential Szoboszlai in his preferred position but hinted that Frimpong may not be risked from the start this weekend.
