UK'S 'BEST POLICE DOG' DIES AFTER YEARS SAVING LIVES AND CAPTURING CROOKS
A POLICE dog who served in North Wales for years has died. PD Toro was a Dutch Herder who was part of the Cheshire and North Wales dog section.
Over his relatively short career he tracked down hundreds of suspects. He also helped to find missing people.
In 2022, Toro, then aged three, and his handler PC Chris McDonough were named the UK’s top police dog team at the Thin Blue Paw Awards. This followed 20 arrests in a year.
