CARABAO EXIT AND NO EUROPEAN NIGHTS HAVE AT LEAST MEANT FEWER INJURIES

- By STEVEN RAILSTON

Extra rest is helping Red Devils, says Amorim

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim during the Premier League match against Nottingham Forest

RUBEN Amorim believes Manchester United are suffering fewer injuries because of their kinder schedule.

United failed to qualify for European football and exited the Carabao Cup at the second round against Grimsby Town.

Amorim's side has played one game per week since the end of August and there have been fewer injuries in the squad. United had struggled with a high rate of injuries in the last few seasons, and Ineos overhauled the medical department after acquiring a minority stake in the club in February 2024.

The United boss was asked about the improvement at his press conference and said: "It's not a change, there's one game every week and then, again, a little bit luck.
