Evans heads to Chile looking to defend his lead

AFTER finishing second in Rally del Paraguay, World Rally Championship _leader Elfyn Evans is hoping for a spot of rain in this week’s Rally Chile.

The Welshman has a lead of seven points over Toyota teammate Kalle Rovanpera in the drivers’ title standings, with Paraguay victor Sébastien Ogier just two points further behind.
Rally Chile represents round 11 of the 14-round World Rally Championship.
Its gravel roads in the forests of the Biobio region surrounding the Pacific port city of Concepcién combine fast and technical sections with a mix of smooth and abrasive surfaces.
‘The rally route is identical and totals 306.76 competitive kilometres.
