WYTHNOS cyn trafodaeth hollbwysig yn y Senedd ar Fil y Gymraeg ac Addysg, mae Cymdeithas yr Iaith wedi galw ar Aelodau'r Senedd o bob plaid i gefnogi gwelliant i'r Bil sydd wedi'i gyflwyno gan Cefin Campbell AS, a fyddai'n golygu gosod targed yn y Bil y bydd 50% o blant yn cael addysg Gymraeg erbyn 2050.

Daw'r alwad er gwaetha'r ffaith bod y mudiad yn ymgyrchu ers sawl blwyddyn dros addysg Gymraeg i bawb (100%). Ar hyn o bryd, dim ond tua 20% o blant sydd mewn addysg Gymraeg. Nid yw'r Bil yn ei ffurf bresennol yn cynnwys unrhyw darged o gwbl ynghylch faint o blant fydd mewn addysg Gymraeg yn y dyfodol.
