Betsi health waiting list probe 'now concluded'

A PROBE into waiting list data at Betsi Cadwaladr Health Board has now been concluded, says Welsh Government.

The formal investigation was launched last November.

It followed the postponement of the publication of NHS Wales performance statistics. Concerns included anomalies in the reported waiting list size and inconsistencies with operational activity levels.

At the time, the Health Board - which remains in special measures - said it was working to address the matter and that the data failure had "not impacted the delivery of care".

The Welsh Government said that the issue had been resolved. It saw a number of additional "patient pathways" added to figures between April and August 2025.
