IT IS not often that a single video can unite a nation in shock, disgust and outrage.

But the viral footage of a 3-year-old child smoking what appeared to be drugs encouraged by adults did just that. To say it evoked anger across online platforms, news sites and newspaper headlines is an understatement.
The child, barely able to hold the bottleneck pipe, is seen inhaling the drug while adults look on and encourage it.
Across news platforms, radio call-ins and comment sections, the public's reaction was the same. Disbelief. Anger. Sadness.
