Daily News
|June 10, 2025
FOR decades, Dr Victor has been entertaining South Africans with his unique blend of Afropop, R&B and jazz.
The award-winning artist, whose real name is Victor Khojane, has become a household name in the local music industry since the early 1990s.
While also captivating audiences countrywide with his band, The Rasta Rebels, the Kimberley-born star’s hits such as I Love to Truck, Kalimba, That’s What Friends Are For and If You Want To Be Happy, have become soundtracks for many generations of those in Mzansi and beyond.
Following his riveting success, which also includes opening for international stars such as Paul Simon, Gloria Estefan and Janet Jackson, the 61-year-old has now decided to venture into the hugely popular amapiano scene with the release of his brand-new single, titled No Fear.
The song, which is in collaboration with Cameroon rising star D-Boy (real name Daniel Lyonga), delivers an inspiring message of resilience and courage wrapped in a feel-good groove.
It features Dr Victor's rich experience to this collaboration, with D-Boy complementing the track with his fresh perspective and dynamic presence, creating a cross-generational soundscape that is as universal as it is unique.
