Fined for breaking law, disowned by 148 MPs...but Johnson vows to carry on as PM and tells voters: I'm on your side
DESPERATE Boris Johnson will today promise to flog cut-price homes and cut taxes as he tries to make voters believe him when he says: "I am on your side."
After 148 Tory MPs tried to kick him out of office for breaking his own lockdown laws, the PM is frantically looking for ways to win back support.
In a speech today, he will declare his "ambition" to allow people in housing association properties to buy their homes at a big discount, copying Margaret Thatcher's 1980s right-to-buy scheme.
