LAZZAT is “getting faster” ahead of his bid for a third career Group 1 win in the Sprint Cup at Haydock Park on Saturday.

The Jéréme Reynier-trained four-year-old, winner of the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot in June under James Doyle, is a best-priced 5-2 favourite to lift the six-furlong prize.

Lazzat suffered a shock reverse when defending his title in the Prix Maurice de Gheest at Deauville 22 days ago with a length-and-three-quarter second to the André Fabre-saddled Sajir.
