Son's praise for mum who donated her kidney to him
A SELFLESS mum had surgery aged 70 to donate a kidney to her son.
Gill Raggett stepped up when Luke, 32, was facing the prospect of kidney failure and gruelling dialysis.
Luke, who was diagnosed with polycystic kidney disease aged 15, said: "I'll always be grateful to Mum for putting herself in this position to help me out. She is my hero.
"We have a great relationship and this has strengthened that even more.
"It's special to always have a part of Mum with me."
