Wife headlock claim was 'loving squeeze'

Bargain Hunt star told cops she's a fantasist

BARGAIN Hunt star Charles Hanson told officers an alleged headlock he put his pregnant wife in was a loving hug, a court heard.

The TV auctioneer said during a police interview that wife Rebecca was a fantasist, the jury was told.

Hanson, 46, is on trial accused of offences against her. He denies controlling or coercive behaviour, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and assault by beating.

She has told the jury Hanson subjected her to violence over the course of a decade, beginning in 2012 with what she said was a headlock while she was pregnant.
