Trump's NHS drugs prices threat 'risks patient harm'

NHS patients will face delays for treatment if Donald Trump forces Britain to pay more for medicines, experts have warned.

Fears are growing that a reported agreement to pay 25% more for drugs will cost billions and leave a black hole in the NHS budget.

The US President has threatened to impose huge tariffs on drug imports, including from UK firms if the NHS does not pay higher prices.

A government spokesman admitted the UK is "in advanced discussions with the US".
