Three lions are almost match-fit

A LONELY orphaned lion rescued from the Ukraine war has met two others also abandoned in the conflict.

Oleg met siblings Rafael and Shanti at the animal centre where they were taken from Kyiv as shells fell nearby.

The trio are now being cared for at Yorkshire Wildlife Park near Doncaster. And staff said Oleg was fascinated by his new companions. A spokesman said: "The signs are super-positive from him, he clearly wants friends. This shows why this rescue was so important.
