EastEnders' comedy duo back for Happy Hammer Billy's stag

EASTENDERS icons Garry Hobbs and Minty Peterson have returned to Walford as part of the show's 40th anniversary celebrations.

The much-loved duo, played by Cliff Parisi and Ricky Groves, were surprise guests at Billy Mitchell's stag do.

Ricky said it was an "absolute privilege" to be invited back to Albert Square after 16 years, and spoke of the special bond his character shared with fellow mechanic Minty.

"We always said that EastEnders is a bit like Shakespeare," he said.
