Mum's plea for a liver donor for battling boy

A MUM who saved her son's life by giving part of her liver hopes another donor is found for him.

Emma Nicholls has issued the plea for her three-year-old Teddy, who needs a third liver transplant.

Teddy, born with a condition causing an iron overload in the organ, had his first, from a deceased donor, at 10 weeks. Now his parents hope someone will sign the NHS Organ Donor Register and give their son the precious gift of life for a third time.

Emma, 34, said that despite everything Teddy stays upbeat.

"He's a character of the highest level, super-cheeky and brings happiness to everyone he meets.

"I think it's his determination and stubbornness that gets him through everything he has to deal with."
