STARMER TO FINALLY MEET NUKE TEST VETS

PM's vow, more than a year after request

KEIR Starmer has finally promised to meet victims of Britain's radiation experiments - 435 days after he was asked as PM.

He vowed to keep his Opposition pledge to nuclear veterans that “your campaign is our campaign”.

Mr Starmer claimed he had no idea victims of the Cold War tests had been seeking a meeting.

He said: “I will now follow up on that. They've suffered a real injustice. I've met them before the election and I'll happily meet them, hopefully by the end of the year.”
