Rampant England sink Samoa but Wane insists: That performance was not good enough to beat the Aussies... we have to get better
SHAUN WANE watched his England side destroy Samoa but admitted: "We wouldn't trouble Australia." Captain George Williams was inspirational as they ran in six tries against opponents who wrecked their World Cup hopes in an agonising semifinal two years ago.
Head coach Wane insisted: "I was very pleased with that and, overall, beating a team like Samoa and the talent they have, you have to be.
"But we never mentioned revenge. We didn't show that game (from 2022). I've seen it enough myself. It was all about winning this Test match.
