Rugby dynasty son on alter ego
Daily Mirror UK
|August 30, 2025
A MEMBER of a rugby union dynasty has snubbed the mud, sweat and tears of the sport to become a drag queen instead.
Steele Quinnell, 26, is a personal trainer by day and performer by night, regularly glam-ming up as his alter ego, Heidi Heights.
But his grandfather Derek, father Scott and uncles Craig and Gavin are all giants in Welsh rugby - the former three being ex-internationals.
Revealing how he decided to take a different path, Steele said: "Rugby and singing are what you would say if asked to define Welsh culture.
"My dad's had a couple of operations and he's got a cauliflower ear, all from playing rugby. I'd rather keep some looks and mobility. I picked the other road."
