Rob's special legacy for son Jackson

RUGBY League legend and charity hero Kevin Sinfield is honouring the memory of best pal Rob Burrow by releasing a paperback version of the book they wrote together.

Try - about the adventures of two boys who form a strong friendship - is especially emotive to Kevin, who admits he's still grieving for his old Leeds Rhinos team-mate.

Rob, who had motor neurone disease, died in June 2024, aged 41.

A year earlier millions were moved when Kevin scooped him from his wheelchair and carried him over the finish line in the inaugural Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon.

Kevin, 44, says the Try book - first published last year - is a legacy for Rob's son Jackson, seven.

He adds: "Rob has lots of legacy pieces but this one is really special.

"It was important for him to have this ready for Jackson. His two girls, Macy and Maya, are a bit older now but I know their mum Lindsey reads it to Jackson and he really enjoys it."
