Robshaw's marriage & health both perked up

My wife made me bring the Thor outfit home....let's just say it's put a spring in her step

When Chris Robshaw stepped on to the Strictly dance floor dressed as Marvel hero Thor, he left many of the show's fans hot under the collar.

But he also sent a pulse racing at home. The former England rugby union captain has revealed that his wife, opera star Camilla Kerslake, was so enthralled by his latest costume that she begged him to hang on to it.

Chris said: "I think she might be the Strictly wardrobe team's biggest fan! "She made me bring my Thor outfit home after last weekend and made me bring the see-through shirt home too.

"I think my wife is loving this new side of me that's slowly coming out, let's just say it's put a spring in her step after more than 10 years together!" Their son Wilding, four-big brother to Hunter, one has a Thor outfit too and loved posing with his costumed dad.

There's clearly no chance of Chris and Camilla, who married in 2018, being struck by Strictly Come Dancing's famous curse.

Chris has said if fans think there's a certain spark between him and his pro partner Nadiya Bychkova, 36, then they are just doing their job properly.

And Camilla is involved in his time on the show, stepping in as a practice dance partner while at home.

In an exclusive chat with the Mirror ahead of tonight's episode, ex-Harlequins flanker Chris, 39, says: "Camilla has been amazing and loves it when Nadiya teaches me stuff and I can go home and show her.
