THREE or four cups of coffee a day may slow ageing but drinking more may have the opposite effect, research suggests.
Moderate drinkers of coffee were found to be biologically younger by five years, probably due to the drink's anti-inflammatory and antioxidant qualities.
For a study, the coffee habits of 436 Norwegian people with mental illness were tracked for 11 years, between 2007 and 2018.
