Liverpool parade accused facing 24 new charges

THE man accused of driving a car into pedestrians in the Liverpool football parade horror has been charged with 24 more offences.

Paul Doyle, 53, who already faced seven charges, broke down in tears yesterday as he appeared in court and heard that the youngest victim was a six-month-old baby.

The total number of victims on the indictment is now 29.

Eight of them were children, including two babies. The oldest victim was a woman aged 77.

The charges relate to a Ford Galaxy Titanium ploughing into Liverpool FC fans in the city centre on May 26 when they lined the streets to celebrate the team winning the Premier League.
