Nyck De Vries goes from F1 to university

LEARNER DRIVER!

NYCK DE VRIES took himself back to school after he was dumped from F1 - and is now a Harvard graduate.

The Dutchman arrived in F1 last season with the sort of CV even the world's greatest could dream of: Formula E world champion, Formula 2 champion, two-time world karting champion.

But he lasted mere months at Alpha Tauri before he was axed from the team to make way for Daniel Ricciardo's return.

Heartbroken, but not defeated, De Vries quickly enrolled at the United States' prestigious Harvard University to undertake an executive programme negotiation and leadership.

But despite a new-found celebrity status as an international sports star, he did not find himself at the centre of any frat parties.
