Legend Offiah backs Wigan to dominate the years ahead

- BY JOSH McALLISTER

IN A LEAGUE OF OUR OWN

RUGBY LEAGUE legend Martin Offiah believes the sport has enjoyed a significant “shot in the arm” over the last 12 months.

A season that has featured Las Vegas blockbusters and Ashes sellouts hits a high tonight in Manchester with an eagerly anticipated Grand Final rematch.

The domestic season culminates at the Theatre of Dreams, where Wigan Warriors and Hull KR clash in a battle to be crowned Super League champions.

Following that, Australia arrive in England for the first Ashes series in 22 years, with matches in Everton and Leeds already sold out.

“Rugby league has had a shot in the arm over the last 12 months,’ said Offiah.
