I want Saffie to be remembered for who she was, not for what happened

THE youngest victim of the Manchester Arena attack is being honoured in a book which will celebrate her life.

Saffie-Rose Roussos was just eight when she died, along with 21 others, when a suicide bomb exploded following an Ariana Grande concert on May 22, 2017.

Saffie's mum Lisa wants her daughter "remembered for who she was, not for what happened".

Lisa was also caught in the blast and told how a piece of shrapnel narrowly missed her heart.

Speaking alongside husband Andrew at the launch of the book, Saffie, she said she was given just a 15% chance of survival.

But despite the horror and grief they suffered, the couple want their book to be a story of hope.
