Dembele answers call for Rowett

GARY ROWETT says Siriki Dembele is reaping the rewards of hard graft.

The Oxford winger underlined his recent contribution to the U's survival bid with his second match-winner in three games.

Dembele, 28, has had a stopstart season following his move from Birmingham and spent time out with an ankle injury.

But he has come to the fore under Rowett who took charge just before Christmas.

And the manager believes the former Peterborough forward is back to his best.

Rowett said: "He's been excellent, Dembs. He's one of those players that at the start of me coming in, Tyler [Goodrham] had that shirt, but I know what Dembs is capable of.
