HE'LL KEEP THE BLUES AT BAY

RUBEN AMORIM has backed Altay Bayindir to start in goal for Manchester United in tomorrow's derby showdown.

Despite signing Senne Lammens (circle, right) on deadline day for an initial fee of £18.2million, United boss Amorim has decided to stick with Bayindir for the trip to Pep Guardiola’ City.

Bayindir has started all three of United's Premier League games this season and, despite making some high-profile mistakes, has got the nod over Lammens, with former No.1 Andre Onana having joined Trabzonspor on a season-long loan.

Amorim said: “Altay is going to continue, because it is a different league, it’s a different country, different training, different goal [ for Lammens].

“So they will fight for the position. So for me, for this game, it’s clear that Altay is there. I believe in Altay and he’s ready to play.
