Families fear privacy breach at A&E where trio were treated. Latest alleged data leak in aftermath of killer's rampage

- SASKIA ROWLANDS

Gross voyeurism at repugnant its most

TRAUMATISED families of the three Nottingham knife victims fear details of their loved ones' injuries may have been illegally accessed by hospital staff.

Bosses are probing whether A&E notes made in the hours after Valdo Calocane's fatal rampage were not properly protected from prying eyes.

And whether they could then have been shared.

Barnaby Webber and Grace O'Malley-Kumar, both 19, and Ian Coates, 65, were killed by paranoid schizophrenic Calocane in the early hours of June 13, 2023.

imageNow Nottingham University Hospitals Trust is investigating the handling of their records.

The victims' families said: "We cannot begin to describe how distressing and traumatic it is for us to learn of yet more revelations regarding the actions of individuals in the horror of losing our loved ones.

"These are not just alleged data breaches but gross invasions of privacy and civil liberty.
