Astonishing progress' for baby left in shopping bag in freezing weather
A NEWBORN baby left on a path in a shopping bag in bitterly cold weather has taken her first steps, a family court has heard.
The girl, known as Elsa, was less than an hour old when a dog walker found her in January last year.
She is the sister of two other children also abandoned as babies in East London, in 2017 and 2019, it emerged in the following months.
Judge Carol Atkinson praised Elsa's progress as astonishing in a hearing this month.
