Experts fear vapes increase risk of disease, Ban plea as younger user numbers soar

VAPING has long been seen as an aid to quitting smoking, but experts fear the potential harms far outweigh any benefits.

And now scientists have called for a ban on the sale of e-cigarettes after a study found they increase the risk of stroke, heart disease and asthma.

Earlier research found vape use is rising among adults and children.

Pro-vaping campaigners insist the devices can wean people off tobacco, but there are growing fears about youngsters who have never smoked taking up the electric alternatives.
