BRITAIN'S welfare system has been branded "consciously cruel" by a human rights group.

Amnesty International claims it is stigmatising people, failing to give a decent standard of living and ruining lives. One of the hundreds of benefit claimants interviewed by the group said they were repeatedly asked the same question. “The process feels like you are on trial for murder, they act like they are trying to catch you out and that you are begging.”
