BOSS STAYS IN TUCH WITH 55-MAN LIST

THOMAS TUCHEL has drawn up a 55-man “long list" ahead of naming his first England squad.

He has also held phone calls with dozens of players prior to whittling them down for next Friday's announcement before the World Cup qualifiers with Albania and Latvia.

Three Lions boss Tuchel has got Arsenal's Myles Lewis-Skelly (below), 18, on his radar and has also spoken to his team-mate, England outcast Ben White, 27, as well as scouring the country looking at potential call-ups.

FA chief executive Mark Bullingham also said Tuchel (above left, with Bullingham) has been living in London and been based at St George's Park.

Tuchel, 51, is believed to have spent more time at the FA training HQ than former boss Gareth Southgate, 54.
