Bid On the Buses

Writer's archive is up for auction

A TREASURE trove of more than 1,000 scripts, photos and documents from the estate of On the Buses writer Ronald Wolfe is expected to fetch £50,000 when it is sold at auction this month.

Wolfe, who died in 2011, had a writing partnership with Ronald Chesney and they were affectionately known in the comedy industry as “the other Two Ronnies”.

Their work included other popular sitcoms, such as The Rag Trade and Meet the Wife.
