DIEHARD Grimsby Town fans were rewarded with "the greatest night" of their lives after putting honeymoons and holidays on hold.
The League Two giant killers stunned the football world by knocking Man Utd out of the Carabao Cup. It was 2-2 at full-time, ending 12-11 on penalties.
Among the jubilant fans were dad and son Rob and Harry Hufton, who were at the ground on Wednesday night instead of the Canary Islands, and newlyweds Chris Farrow and wife Julie.
Rob's wife Emma went on ahead to their hotel in Fuerteventura with youngest son Freddie, eight, and father-in-law Jim. Rob said: "We were happy enough just to score a goal but to win the game was unbelievable."
