WEST HAM loans and pathway manager Carlton Cole believes talented youngster Freddie Potts is ready to show the Premier League what he's made of.

Potts, whose father Steve and brother Dan both played for the Hammers, is closing in on a Premier League debut after a handful of European games under David Moyes when he was a teenager.

He spent the 2023-24 campaign with League One side Wycombe, scoring his first senior goals, and played 37 Championship games for Portsmouth last season, to help the newly-promoted side avoid the drop.

Potts, 21, was an unused substitute as West Ham lost to Sunderland last weekend, but Cole believes he'll be ready when his chance comes after two years of invaluable experience in the EFL.
