Sri Lanka's number one men's javelin thrower, Rumesh Tharanga, qualified yesterday (17) for the men's javelin throw finals of the 20th IAAF World Athletics Championship Tokyo 2025, currently taking place in Tokyo from September 13 to 21.
Representing Group 'B' in the men's javelin qualification round, Tharanga recorded an impressive throw of 82.80 meters, securing the 12th position overall and earning a place in the finals.
