As the festive season approaches, Pegasus Reef Hotel Wattala is once again transforming into a hub of Christmas cheer, blending time-honoured traditions with renewed optimism.
Despite recent disruptions caused by adverse weather, the hotel is pressing ahead with an ambitious festive programme, reflecting both the enduring spirit of the season and Sri Lanka's unwavering resilience.'Coincided with its annual 'Mixing of the Christmas Cake Ceremony', held a few weeks before the calamity, the seaside hotel is rolling out an elaborate calendar of seasonal celebrations, reaffirming its commitment to joy, resilience and hospitality at a time when togetherness matters most.
'Christmas in this part of Sri Lanka has always been grand, vibrant and deeply festive. Despite the recent challenges caused by adverse weather, we are fully prepared to move ahead with our celebrations.
This season is about resilience, hope and togetherness, and we are committed to delivering our best festive experience yet' said Renuka Coswatte, General Manager of Pegasus Reef Hotel.
Located in Hendala, Wattala, just a 30-minute drive from Colombo, Pegasus Reef Hotel enjoys a distinctive setting between the waters of the Indian Ocean and the lively fishing stretch of the historic Hamilton Canal. Popularly identified as 'Colombo's only Beach Resort', the hotel offers a rare seaside escape within close proximity to the capital.
Inaugurated in 1971, Pegasus Hotel has long been regarded as a tranquil retreat defined by convenience and character. Its exotic beachfront location, complemented by a wide range of facilities, has made it a firm favourite among both domestic and international leisure travellers over the decades.
