MELSTA Hospitals Ragama has announced the appointment of Dr. Sanjeewa Rajapakse to its Board of Directors.

Dr. Rajapakse is a highly accomplished Consultant Cardiologist with nearly 25 years of medical experience, bringing not only clinical excellence but also leadership, strategic insight, and industry foresight to guide the hospital as it continues to deliver affordable, international standard healthcare to the public.
Dr. Rajapakse holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the Postgraduate Institute of Medicine, University of Colombo, with advanced training in General and Interventional Cardiology at the Dorset Heart Centre, UK. A distinguished graduate of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ruhuna (MBBS, Upper Second Class with Distinction in Pediatrics, All-Island Rank 01), he is affiliated with prestigious professional bodies including the Royal College of Physicians (UK), European Heart Association, American College of Cardiology, and is a Fellow of the Society of Coronary Angiography and Intervention (USA). He currently serves as Consultant Cardiologist at Colombo North Teaching Hospital, Ragama, with expertise spanning Percutaneous Coronary Interventions, Adult Structural Heart Disease, Echocardiography, CT Coronary Angiogram, and Permanent Pacing.
