Govt. seeks public input to shape new business models in transport sector

IN a move to revitalise and expand the ancillary services linked to the country's transport industry, the Parliamentary Sub-Committee led by Industries and Entrepreneurship Development Deputy Minister Chathuranga Abeysinghe has called for public views and suggestions to help shape new business models.

The Government initiative invites citizens, businesses, and institutions to contribute their ideas on a wide range of areas crucial to modernising the sector.
Among the focus points are the optimal use of existing resources, identification of new business opportunities, enhancement of current services, and revitalisation of non-operational projects.
The Committee is also keen to receive proposals from various organisations and to better understand the latest global trends influencing the transport industry.
