THE Finance Ministry has appointed former Standard Chartered banker Dharshan Jayaratne as an Independent, Non-Executive Director of Bank of Ceylon (BOC).

Jayaratne is a career banker with over 31 years of banking experience in Sri Lanka with leading foreign banks, including 27 years specialising in financial markets. His extensive expertise spans financial markets management, foreign exchange and bond trading, money markets, investment management, capital markets, and structured products.
