Wynne's apology for video remark

WYNNE Evans was facing an uncertain future with the BBC last night after he was given a warning over an alleged inappropriate comment about a female colleague during the Strictly Come Dancing live tour launch.

The opera singer, known for the GoGompare insurance adverts, has been touring with fellow dancers from the BBC One show in which he competed alongside pro dance partner Katya Jones last year.

However, The Mail on Sunday yesterday reported he had been heard making the remark to a woman in a video filmed during the launch event on January 16.

He was posing for pictures alongside stars including former Strictly dancer Janette Manrara, 41, who is hosting the tour.

The Strictly live tour and BBC Studios said: "We were not previously aware of the remark and did not receive any complaints.

We have made it very clear to Wynne that we do not tolerate such behaviour on the tour."
