Women's rights champ Sharron to get a peerage

OLYMPIC silver medal swimmer and women's rights activist Sharron Davies has been nominated for a peerage by Tory leader Kemi Badenoch.
She also put forward ex-Tory Cabinet minister Sir John Redwood and historian Simon Heffer for seats in the Lords.
Meanwhile, Sir Keir Starmer gave peerages to several friends and Labour cronies including his former press chief Matthew Doyle and Rachel Reeves' ex-aide Katie Martin.
