Women in years of pain from reproductive issues due to medical misogyny

WOMEN and girls are left in agony because of "medical misogyny" over painful reproductive conditions, MPs have said.

They say illnesses are frequently dismissed through "pervasive stigma" and lack of education over common ailments like endometriosis, uterus condition adenomyosis and heavy periods.

A report by Parliament's Women and Equalities Committee on care of such ailments in England found symptoms were often "normalised" and it could take years to get a diagnosis and treatment.

It means women endure pain and discomfort for years, hitting "every aspect" of their lives while their conditions worsen.
