Woman sent ex-lover's wife explicit photo after failed £7k blackmail bid

A SALESWOMAN blackmailed her ex-boss by threatening to tell his wife about their affair, a court was told.

Faye Main warned her former lover to pay up or she would reveal the five-month relationship.

She had kept private messages and explicit photos of him for three years, Winchester Crown Court heard.

Main, 28, told the well-off man "What have I got to lose?" and threatened she would "have the chat" with his wife unless he sent her £7,000. When he refused and the deadline passed, Main gave his wife details of the relationship and an X-rated photo that he had sent her. She was handed a suspended sentence after admitting blackmail and revenge porn.

Main's blackmail was called "completely unsophisticated" as she could not decide how much she wanted — and asked her victim to name a price.

The businessman cannot be identified, for legal reasons.

Scam

Russell Pyne, prosecuting, said: "The affair ended and the two remained amicable up until when it appears she left the employment." But more than a year later Main, of Fleet, Hants, fell victim to a scam and contacted her old boss to ask if he would send her money. He declined and told her to go to the police.
